This lovely close-up of Pakura, cooling off at an oasis pool, was cropped from a commission done for me by the talented !
We all know Wind Country is a vast desert, and given Suna is in the middle of this desert, I can imagine there are some oasis rest-stops for travelers along the way. I know shinobi/kunoichi can easily make the trip without rest, but I'm sure civilians too make the trip, and they can't handle desert the way shinobi/kunoichi can.
So I asked *Avionetca to draw Pakura posing/relaxing at an oasis water pool, for I can imagine that she, along the way home to Suna, would stop by one of these rest stops for a dip in the waters. The result is this lovely scene of the Suna kunoichi flicking her wet hair as she stands out of the water. Given how *hot* she is, I'm sure she needs to *coo-off* once in awhile.
This is just a cropped close-up. To see her lovely body in the bikini (top and bottom) as she stands in the pool, check it out at *Avionetca's page by clicking on the thumbnail below!
So there you have it! The Suna heroine taking a break at an oasis along the way to home to Suna! Kami, even in a bikini, Pakura is *scorching* hot!

I don't think she have a 'following' per se. It's just that I (and some others) found her fascinating for being perhaps the first strong kunoichi from Suna featured in the series who is just a generation or so above Temari.
I definitely agree with you totally on this. The focus in the series for Suna seemed to be mostly on the Sand Sibs than other characters, and sadly, it seems Kumo have more known characters, especially kunoichi, than Suna, who is Konoha's ally. Bummer.
I hoped we would see a lot more from them in the war. Baki is even nowhere on the battle field, and he's the closest thing Suna has to a Kakashi.
At least the anime has given both Maki and Pakura more more screen time, and Matsuri and the other Gaara groupie... although they seem to only be useful for squealing at Gaara's awesomeness or bait for exposition dumps....
