Naruto x Sasame: Meeting Again (Close-up)

Sometimes I wish that the anime would have been more broader when it comes to story telling, especially toward characters that we only seen once in a particular arc. It would been great if say occasionally Naruto would meet up again with these characters, and I'm not referring to the 4th Great Shinobi War where Naruto meet the 'dead' characters again. For example, say Sasame Fuma visits Konoha to talk about possible business with her clan, and she meets Naruto again 3 years after he had helped her. This is what is happening in this commissioned art. Taken place sometimes after Konoha was rebuilt but before the 4th Great War, Sasame meets Naruto again just outside Konoha's main gate. She sees that he has grown-up and looks handsome compare to his 12/13 year self, thus why she blushed a bit upon seeing him. Naruto, as clueless as ever, does not see how smitten Sasame has become toward him, thus why he just smiles that Fox smile of his. Still a goofball, but to Sasame he grew into handsome lovable goofball.

Jeannette11 has done the Konan Lifeguard commission for me a few months ago, and I had wanted to commission her again, yet this time I want her to draw Sasame Fuma, the lovely orange-haired girl from one of the anime-filler arcs of the origianl Naruto series. We worked together to create Sasame as she migth look in the Shippuuden era, and then placed her next to Naruto with the background of Konoha's main gate behind them. The result is this lovely scene of Naurto meeting Sasame again 3 to 4 years after that mission to Rice Country. It's cute to see Sasame blush a bit upon seeing Naruto has grown into quite a shinobi, especially after hearing about his battle with Pain. Something like this would fit nicely in canon.

So there you have it! A cute scene of Sasame meeting Naruto again 3 to 4 years after they first met in Rice Country! It's cute that Sasame is blushing due to Naruto, for after all, we all know Shippuuden Naruto has a knack for attracting girls (*ahem* Shippuuden Movie girls ), so it would make sense that Sasame would join those ranks upon seeing Naruto again.
